New Delhi, Sep 1 U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to address a joint sitting of both houses of parliament on November 9, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said on Wednesday.
Bansal told reporters here that the winter session of parliament is "likely to be advanced by a week" to November 8 and the U.S. President would "most probably" address the joint session on November 9.
Answering queries, Bansal said a decision on the dates of the winter session will be taken by the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs and the date for the joint sitting would be fixed by the Speaker.
The session, he said, is expected to last more than a month. The U.S. President is scheduled to visit India in the first half of November.
