The Greens is the largest, eco-friendly township in Thiruvananthapuram district, spread across 11 acres of lush greenery on the outskirts of the capital city.

The first phase consists of 64 premium villas as well as 150 apartments. The second phase has 150 apartments. The total outlay of the project is Rs.125 crore.

Addressing reporters here, Mir Realtors managing director K. Arun Kumar said only three more villas of Phase I remain to be sold.

"The cost of a villa with a private swimming pool is more than Rs.10 million, while one without a pool ranges from upwards of Rs.5 million. The township adheres to all eco-friendly practices including an effective sewage management system for all type of wastes, rain water harvesting and water recycling," said Kumar.

The Ministry of Environment and Forests has awarded The Greens a 'Silver Grading', given to those projects constructed without any depletion of natural resources.

The 15-storeyed second apartment tower of Phase II will be launched on Thursday.

Mir Realtors is also setting up another township 'Green Metropolis' on a six-acre green expanse in Kochi. It comprises 400 dwelling units and features the tallest 32-storeyed twin tower apartment complex in south India.
