Bahrain school breaks CBSE record

Bahrain, May 25: Students of the well known Indian School here have achieved a record-breaking 99.46 percent pass rate in their Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) higher secondary school examinations.

According to the Gulf Daily News, of the 367 Class 12 students who appeared for the examination, 157 were from the science stream, 182 from the commerce stream and 28 from humanities.

Students of the commerce stream registered a 100 percent success rate for the first time in the school's history, the report said.

Korangath Aditya Das topped in science with 92.8 percent, while Michelle Olinda D'Souza topped in commerce with 93.2 percent and Linzy Savia Rodrigues topped humanities with 88.4 percent.

School chairman P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai credited the school's teachers for the good showing by the students, the report said.
