Programme for diaspora youth to be held in Kerala
The next edition of Know India Programme (KIP), organised by the Ministry of Overseas Indian affairs (MOIA), will be held from Dec 12, 2006, to Jan 9, 2007. This orientation programme is organised to help Indian diaspora youth get exposure to the Indian way of life and culture.

Know India Programme a success
The Know India Programme (KIP), a programme organised by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) for Indian diaspora youth, came to a successful end in the second week of June.

Our diaspora our knowledge bank: PM
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said the young Indian diaspora is the country’s "knowledge bank" and everyone should be proud of the achievements of people of Indian origin (PIOs) across the world.

Know India Programme starts
New Delhi, May 17: One has worked with an Israeli border patrol unit. Another teaches Hindi in a New Zealand school. Yet another is a freshman at Yale University in the US. What is common to the 24 of them? They are all of Indian origin. What brings them together is a programme to introduce their homeland.

This year's IPDY to be different
An Internship Programme for Diaspora Youth (IPDY), begun in 2002, will undergo a change in format to enable its participants to get more exposure to India and its way of life.

Youth Internship Programme
The Government of India is encouraging participation of diaspora from all over the world to cultivate and productively engage the second generation of the diaspora with India.
