Dubai, Aug 27: The total number of Indian workers in the United Arab Emirates' private sector is currently between 1.2 million and 1.3 million, according to the latest figures.

Indian workers in the country represent some 50 percent of the labour force in the private sector, according to a report.

The report further said that Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals represent 18 percent and six percent of the work force in the private sector respectively.

The three south Asian countries together represent 74 percent of the total labour force in the sector, the report said.
